Wokingham Auctions offer a comprehensive valuation service to vendors intending to sell items, without obligation, in the strictest of confidence.
In the first instance we recommend sending photos and further details by email, especially for larger items. Then, if a house call is worthwhile, we can arrange a time and date to assess your needs, advise on what’s saleable, arrange transport and property clearance, if required.

Consigning

A sale contract of receipt is issued for items consigned for sale, which details our terms of engagement in accordance with our conditions of sale.
All lots are given pre-sale estimates from which reserves may be placed indicating the minimum price at which the lot may be sold.
Any reserves must be agreed with the Auctioneer in advance of sale. We do not accept reserves on lots valued under £100 and reserves cannot be above the lower catalogue estimate.
Live internet bidding is provided via the-saleroom.com for each sale.
Pre & Post Sale
A pre-sale advice notification is issued by email prior to sale detailing the sale date time together with descriptions of each lot and agreed estimates.
Any item withdrawn within 14 days of the sale date will incur a charge of 15% of the mid estimate along with lotting fees and other agreed charges, plus VAT
Payment is issued approximately 21 working days from the date of sale by bank transfer together with a statement attached detailing all appropriate taxes and charges.
Payment will only be made when all monies due from the buyer have been paid and cleared in accordance with our conditions of sale.
Charges & Deductions
Commission
The standard rate of commission is 15%, plus VAT at 20% (on commission only).
Lotting Fee
A lotting fee of £10 per item + VAT is charged on each item.
No added charges are included for photography or internet inclusion.
Loss/damage
